2017 Food Trend: Souping

Move over Juicing, there’s a new trend in town.

So many great healthy trends to look out for and here’s one we’ll see in 2017.

Benefits of Souping instead of Juicing:

  • Juice pressing removes fiber and concentrates the sugar and calories.  In contrast, soups are blended therefore keeping the fiber and nutrients.  They are lower in sugar and calories as they are typically made with vegetables, broths and addition of wonderful herbs.
  • You can find them in your local supermarket, meal delivery systems (including “cleanses”), restaurants, and home made recipes.
  • Feels more like a meal than a drink so they are more satisfying.
  • Think of your soup like a warm smoothie – you can even keep it in your coffee cup.
